A first little hello
A 3D printed ultrasound keepsake of your baby's face.
A 3D or 4D ultrasound holds the real shape of your baby's face. First Likeness turns that shape into a portrait you can see in a new way, and a keepsake you can hold.
We are opening First Likeness to a small number of studios and families while we get it right. Sign in with your email, tell us a little about yourself, and we will let you know.
How it works
- 1Have your 3D or 4D scanAt your ultrasound studio, ask for the 3D volume of the scan, not only the pictures. Your sonographer will know the setting, and our guide for sonographers explains it.
- 2Bring the scan inThe file opens in your web browser, where patient details are removed before anything is saved.
- 3Shape the portraitTake away what is not the baby, smooth what the scan left rough, and choose the light and the angle.
- 4Hold itChoose a size and a frame, and the portrait is 3D printed into a keepsake you can hold.

Your data is safe
Your original scan file is never kept unless you choose to send it to us. It is opened in your browser, where patient details are removed and the scan becomes plain 3D image data. That image data and your edits are saved to your account so the piece can be reworked later. Our print partner receives only the finished model to check a price, and with an order the recipient's name and shipping address too, never the 3D image data. A family page shows only the words and the picture you choose to share. A keepsake page you make public shows its portrait in 3D, so that piece's image data is published with it until you make it private.
First Likeness is a keepsake, not a medical device. It does not measure your baby, check their health, or predict how they will look.
